Concerts and Performances

Experiencing the atmosphere and emotion of live music can develop skills and confidence in a fast and enjoyable way. Attending music concerts and taking part in music making with professional and amateur musicians is a fundamental feature of the Music Man Project.

The Music Man Project perform a number of popular annual and bi-annual concerts, including a tour of Christmas shows and a variety show, “Music is Magic” at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-on-Sea.  We also organise quarterly shows, fundraising performances and progress review shows for special schools.

MMP-Palladium-OneSpecialNight-Ep2In 2015 the Music Man Project performed Music is Magic on the world famous London Palladium stage.  Find out more in our two part MMPTV mini-doc.

Guest Performers

Throughout the year, visiting musicians and music groups perform to students attending the daily adult classes and pupils at the Special School Music Hub at Kingsdown School. The Music Man Project is hugely grateful to these musicians, who continue to give their time for free in order to inspire others through their music.

If you would like to take part in workshops, performances or simply to come along to play a piece or two to the students please contact the Musical Director, David Stanley
