Music is Magic at the Town Hall Theatre with The Music Man Project
The Music Man Project is a multi-award-winning international music education charity, founded by the UK Disability and Access Ambassador for Arts and Culture, David Stanley BEM. Our performers have graced iconic stages including the London Palladium and Royal Albert Hall, supported by His Majesty’s Band of the Royal Marines and Michael Ball OBE, and they have toured internationally to San Diego, Milan, Canada, and beyond.
Our renowned global ambassadors have performed for His Majesty King Charles, won the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, entertained a UK Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, broken a Guiness World-Record, recorded a top 10 charity single and featured on UK, Italian and Canadian TV.
Our Vision
Our New York debut will be a historic moment for inclusive arts and a powerful symbol of transatlantic collaboration. It will highlight artistic representation in disability arts, inspire audiences and reshape industry perceptions of ability and access. 25 of our leading musicians will present a two-hour concert of original music from The Music Man Project songbook, as performed to 4000 people at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Town Hall Theatre has never hosted a dedicated ensemble of learning-disabled musicians. The Music Man Project’s debut would be a historic first for musicians with learning disabilities from anywhere in the world, a historic first for one of New York’s most iconic venues, and a historic first for 1.3 billion disabled people around the world.
