FAQs
You can donate to The Music Man Project via our Just Giving Page, by sending us a cheque (payable to The Music Man Project), by direct bank transfer or in person at our concerts and events. We claim Gift Aid on applicable donations.
Donations help us to maintain and expand our services across the UK and overseas. All donations support the work of our charity directly.
Volunteers play a huge role in our charity and we welcome volunteers from all sections of society, with or without musical expertise or experiences.
Volunteer roles include supporting students, fundraising, helping with transport, photography, videography, sound and lighting, design, performing and major musical collaborations. These skills are extremely valued by both The Music Man Project National Charity and our Regional Partner Organisations.
Please contact your nearest Regional Music Man Project to ask about volunteering opportunities in your area and visit the volunteering page.
The Music Man Project helps individuals, schools, churches, charities and other organisations to replicate our music service in regions across the UK.
The Music Man Project offers regional performance workshops to attract interest, demonstrate the programme and launch new regional centres.
A free licence agreement is issued to approved Regional Partner Organisations under a not-for-profit franchise arrangement.
Regional Partner Organisations can apply to The Music Man Project for start-up funding (for instruments and venue hire).

Regional Music Man Projects are independently operated by local Mencap socities, the Salvation Army, Community Interest Companies and other charities.
The Music Man Project welcomes support from amateur and professional musicians of all types and experience. Musicians can visit our teaching centres to perform to our students, teach or play along to the music-making.
We also welcome major collaborations leading to join performances and recordings. We have previously worked with stars of the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, Peter Egen, Classical Reflection, Peter Kerrie, Lee Mead, His Majesty’s Band of the Royal Marines, choirs and orhestras.
As part of our partnership with The Salvation Army, The Music Man Project helps launch projects at Salvation Corps across the UK. This typically includes a performance workshop and the supply of musical instruments. Visit the Salvation Army or contact your local Salvation Army for more details.
TEAM LEWIS is a global marketing company. The TEAM LEWIS Foundation supports thousands of charities around the world. Following the murder of Music Man Project patron, Sir David Amess in 2021, TEAM LEWIS offered to help our charity by providing services on a pro-bono basis. Visit the TEAM LEWIS page to learn more.
The Music Man Project Global Ambassadors are world-leading, musical role-models with learning disabilities based at the charity headquarters in the City of Southend-on-Sea. They support David Stanley’s work as the UK Disability and Access Ambassador for Arts and Culture. David and his ambassadors work together on a voluntary basis to increase accessible arts and culture, and to meet The Music Man Project’s charity objectives. Visit The Music Man Project Global Ambassadors page to learn more.
The Music Man Project is proud to work in partnership with His Majesty’s Band of the Royal Marines. We take part in joint performances, recordings, workshops and special events. Visit the Royal Marines page for further information.
